ABOUT PAWIN

Born in 1990 in Bangkok, Thailand, Pawin began his piano lessons at the age of 4 at Yamaha Music School (Siam Kolakarn Chanvinit). He received his Bachelor’s degree in 2012 and he was received his Master’s degree in 2017 from the College of Music, Mahidol University. During his academic years, he took piano lessons with talented pianists, namely, Darin Pantoomkomol, Mayuko Katakura, Peter Beets, and Stefan Karlsson. He was also selected to become a member of the Mahidol Jazz Orchestra. As part of extracurricular activities, he also participates in jazz camps held in various countries, in particular, Thailand International Jazz Conference at College of Music, Mahidol University in Bangkok, Thailand (2013 and 2020) and Keep an Eye Summer Jazz at the Conservatory of Amsterdam (CvA) in Amsterdam, the Netherlands (2014). His quintet, Seua-dam, or Black Tiger won the 2014 Thailand Jazz Competition for Jazz Ensemble Competition, receiving His Majesty King Bhumibol's Trophy. In parallel, he performs in numerous jazz scenes in Bangkok and festivals in Thailand, including Huahin Jazz Festival 2010, The River Jazz Festival 2012, Darin Pantoomkomol Quartet (2014) and Pamai Chirdkiatisak Quartet (2018) by Sweet Records & UNESCO event, and  Recently, Pawin was selected to represent Thailand in the inaugural Asian Youth Jazz Orchestra (AYJO), mainly funded by Japan Foundation. The touring concerts receive a warm welcome from a large audience in Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore and Japan.
